The hottest place to move used to be Los Angeles, California but with rent prices skyrocketing people are moving to the south. One of the most popular cities to move at the moment is Atlanta, Georgia. It sounds great right!? There is a music scene, TV and Film industries and of course plenty of celebrities. I know what you're asking… How much is the cost of housing in Atlanta, GA? It depends on your current situation, how much space you need and how close would you like to be to the city?

If you look on Craigslist.org you will find some good deals but this is also where a lot of scammer activity takes place. I found a couple apartments between $900 - $1500 that looked decent in the picture but there is always a risk with a website like this. There could be no apartment available at all. Be careful and use extra caution when on Craigslist.org

Zumper was one of my favorite rental research tools. With Zumper I was able to put in exactly what I was looking for and it brought up the prices. On a studio up to 1 bedroom apartment according to Zumper rent would be an average range of about $1,100 - $2,000 which is good considering the average studio in LA is double that price. There was a wide variety of rent prices and covered many areas in Atlanta, Georgia and surrounding areas (Which may cost a little less per month)

Maybe you want to live in the place your looking to move but don’t have relatives or friends in that city. Check Intown Suites to see if they are in your chosen destination. Another similar choice is Airbnb. These are both temporary options but could get you in that city you want to live and work. The prices vary depending on if you want the entire space or a room. Intown Suites cost around $1,200 -$1,600 a month to stay for a whole month. These could easily be used to get a place to stay for the short term.

Do you need help or assistance to move to a new city? Try ProMove they can actually assist you with your move to Atlanta. Whether you're looking for a house or apartment they got you covered and can give you assistance with movers and other companies you may need to use while transitioning to Atlanta, Georgia.

Moving to a new city, state or even out of the country can be hard. Using the above resources can help you with your move to Atlanta, Georgia and make it a less stressful situation. Even when you're looking for a new apartment to move in the same city can be just as difficult. I’m hoping you take advantage of the great websites listed above and here are some tips to get you in that moving mindset.

Here are some things to consider if you are trying to move right now:

  1. Look into renting a room or having a roommate. It could cut down your cost if you don’t mind sharing your space.

  1. Have a budget. Make a monthly budget for all your rent and living expense and try to stick to it

  1. Get rid of your car. If you live in a city and have public transportation plus rideshare (Uber or Lyft) you can definitely let go of the cost of a vehicle.

  1. Put away a few months rent (if possible) this is like an emergency fund in case you need extra money.

  1. Be flexible. What you want could take a temporary move to get to the perfect long term stay

Please do your due diligence when looking for a new place in Atlanta, Georgia and only use reputable companies and websites. I’m hoping this is your time and you find a new home in Atlanta, Georgia this year. See ya when you get here!

I did it again! I was able to scoop four colors of nail polish from The Dollar Tree all Sinful Colors brand! I'm super excited because its very rare to see Sinful Colors nail polish in The Dollar Tree. Sinful colors nail polish is usually in a store like Sally's or a higher priced beauty store. I was also impressed with the shades I picked up. Usualy the colors all look alike or they are dull and unwanted but these colors are POPULAR!.

First color is a deep lush red called "Redrum" It's a sexier type of deep red. Would look great on nails or toes. This is more of a classic color. If your a red lover this is a beautiful shade of red for a set of nails.
Next color is called "Charmed" it's a fine glitter sparkle type of polish. This charmed color can be worn by it'sself but I feel like it would have popped so much more over a cool tone colored nail polish. But is very suttle by itself. Very fine and glittery without the flash. Like a elegant champagne glitter.
The third color named "Interglamactic" it's a violet purple but brighter type of shade. Not quite purple but not pink either so I would say it was more of a pretty violet shade. Great to step out of your comfort zone with. Not to bright but a stand out nail polish color.
Last but not least is "Spirirted" a lilac purple shade that is super cute. I have this shade on my pedicure right now and it looks great! I'm not a purple person but I might start doing a purple manicure and pedicure once in a while. It's a nice break from red or blue.
I'm very pleased to put all of these Sinful Colors nail polishes in to my collection. I would love to see a lot of these shades as press on nails. More manicures and pedicures with these nail polishes before the summer season is over.
You guys already know the drill! Check your local Dollar Tree or just a dollar store and even discount places like big lots and you can possibly run up on deals like these.
So grateful to have found these for a total of $4.00! (Plus tax of course) Thank you for checking out my Sinful colors nail polish swatch blog! As soon as I find more shades I will swatch them. Have a great one!

Ok I’m not going to lie it was A LOT of work but it got me excited and ready to pick up more shifts. Shifts by Snag A Job is a wonderful hustle app. It was so easy to pick up a shift. Of course you have to sign up and do your paperwork but once you're on the app there is no reason to not have some money coming in every month.

I messed up with picking my first shift because I went for the back of the house. The back of the house at a restaurant is NOT where I was trying to be. I got stuck washing a lot of dishes and my hands were tore up but at least they didn’t have me take out garbage. Yes, I’m a lazy millennial who “doesn’t dream of labor” but sometimes that labor can get you where you need to be.

My job wasn’t far under 10 miles away. I used the Waze app to navigate me there and half way back. The shift was from 9:30am-4:30pm I ended up staying till after 5pm and they paid me for it. I also got bonus pay for doing my first job on Shifts by Snag a job. I’m looking into more shifts to go to for next week. Not this week because this Saturday is my birthday :)

Now that I’m over the shock of actually going back to work I’ll be way more ready for the next job I go to. I plan on doing Shipt next to see how it is to do food delivery and then I will get my next shift from Wonolo. Wonolo is more industrial and has more manufacturing jobs which is cool with me because the pay is really good.

Definitely jump on this wave. With everything happening in the world it’s good to know you can go pick up work when needed and create your own schedule. The workforce has definitely changed and we can all benefit from it. Get out there and get to shift working! If your interested in signing up with Shifts by Snag a job here is my referral link: https://i.snag.co/pw77m

I'm learning to wait for sales on some of my favorite groceries. It takes about (3) weeks for my local Kroger to mark plant based meats down but it's worth the wait. These (2) pack of Impossible Burgers (Plant Based) are usually $6.99 and when they first came out I paid full price because I was so impressed that it tasted like I was eating a REAL burger. That was about 2 years ago. Now I focus more on beans, fruits and vegetables and make meals like these my cheat dinner nights.

Of course you have to have fries with this meal so I also wait for my favorite Checker's fries to go on sale. I can usually catch them for $2.99 with my Kroger plus card.

Here is the part I was amazed by (not the price of my groceries) I'm cooking my entire meal on my Presto electric grill and if you look at the burger it turns the EXACT same color as a real burger when being cooked! If a meat eater had this for dinner they wouldn't question the burger at all it's that on point with taste and mouth feel.

To finish off my meal I added a nice sesame hamburger bun and some onions, banana peppers, vegan sharp cheddar cheese, mustard and vegan mayo. This was so delicious at a fraction of the cost. It really does help my budget to look for sales and cook from home.

I was finishing up All American on Netflix and this was so good as a fun "cheat" dinner. I probably wont have it again for another month or so but that's great because I'm sure another pack of Impossible burgers will be on sale. Thanks for stopping by 💛 Stay Frugal!

It was sad to see my favorite thrift store not having half off day anymore. I used to be so excited to get to the the Monday 1/2 off sale to find some cool clothes for pennies. But now you have to look way harder to get those types of deals. They still ran two color tickets that are half off so that was still a good thing.

These were some of my favorite finds from this thrift haul and about how much I spent on each piece. If you want to see the entire thrift store haul I will link the YouTube video down below.

I never wore colored jeans before and I liked the cute H&M "escape" pink shirt. The thrift store is a great place to try clothes you regularly wouldn't buy.

H&M Tee: $1.00
Colored Jeans: $3.99

These are some of the work clothes I needed for these upcoming jobs I'm going on and it took me FOREVER to find a plain black polo ladies shirt but about 40 mins into my shop I got it! I also paid full price just to be able to have some type of work gear.

Rider Black Polo Shirt: $2.99
Calvin Klein Khaki Pants $6.99

I know the tank top is some type of dri fit athletic shirt but the brand had came off but I still bought it because the price and condition was great! I really needed some jeans too. I have no idea how I don't have any jeans in my closet but I don't so this pair of jeans was much needed! Plus I love a light washed looking pair of skinny jeans it went perfect with this athletic tank top.

Dri Fit Tank Top: $1.00
Washed Skinny Jeans: $3.99

This was a cute combination together. The pink tank top I bought to build outfits and put under jackets or button up shirt. I need to start putting different pieces in my wardrobe and I hardly buy or wear skirts so this cute striped one was half off so I grabbed it right before I got in line to leave the thrift store.

Pink Tube Top : .50
Striped Skirt : $1.50

These were all my favorite picks from this last thrift store haul. The entire thrift store haul was $35.50 and I will leave the YouTube video below. Thank you for stopping by! If your into thrifting and thrift shopping leave a comment let me know what's your favorite thing to buy at the thrift store?

Have a great one!

This is my D.I.Y recipe for shaving lotion. I've used this recipe for years and years and I haven't had any cuts since I start making it. I used to buy shaving cream and I would be cut a couple times by the time I got done shaving my legs. With this DIY shaving lotion I never had that problem.

All these products are from of course... The Dollar Tree! You can use any brand of conditioner, baby shampoo, lotion and baby oil you would like. Here is the measurements for this quick DIY shaving lotion:

(1) Cup Conditioner
(1) Cup Baby Shampoo
(5) Tablespoons Of Lotion
(5) Tablespoons Of Baby Oil

I also got my product mixing measuring cups and spoons from The Dollar Tree. I keep these things in the bathroom so they never mix with my measuring cups and spoons from the kitchen. The container is just a used old plastic jar from a hair product. I love to recycle!

Put everything in a jar (preferably recycled :) take any object to stir (I'm using a craft stick) and mix all the ingredients up until smooth. Let the mixture sit for about (1) hour.

It's an hour later and your mixture is ready to use! It will get thicker as time goes on so stir it up before using.

This is one of my favorite DIY projects for self care. You can shave your legs and under arms in minutes and feel smooth afterwards. I love using it right before I get in the shower. This DIY shaving lotion last so long! I did the video to make a batch in the video below in 2018 I didn't have to make it again until 2021! Talk about savings! Here is the video:

Thank you so much for stopping by! Stay Happy and Frugal!💙💛💚

I have all of these ideas but I feel like I'm stuck. Not because I don't have the ideas but because I have TOO MANY ideas. I was watching the video below and I really recorded all day. In total I think I did 5 videos in a day that particular day. I wake up with so many ideas I get paralyzed and don't do any of them. So I'm thinking I need to write down a couple and work on them one at a time so I don't feel so overwhelmed.

I also see I had a high level of excitement that I don't currently have. This was also back in October 2019 before all of the insanity of 2020 and 2021. So it was a more carefree time with none of the stresses we have at the moment. Make sure to come back I have some DIY recipes I'm going to post on the blog. Here is a blast from the past. My YouTube upload from October 2019:

Thank you for stopping through! Don't Stop CREATING!

I've been on this app for about (6) months and it's really been helping with transitioning into audio from video (YouTube). The app is called Spoon I seen a couple people using it and it looked easy and I wanted to give it a try. At the time everybody was in quarantine....perfect timing.

With the push of a button I was podcasting! Not professionally but for recreation. I was talking about topics I wanted to get off my chest like "Why don't guys pay for dates anymore" "What's going on with social media" Just random thoughts I could now get out of my head and make a conversation with myself entertainment for someone to listen to.
The app is totally free! It's called Spoon so people can actually give you spoons that can become actual money. I'm not a participant for the spoons but it's a cool feature. You can also do something called "Talk" I haven't tried that feature yet. There is also a livestream feature which I have tried once and it was difficult because I'm used to video streaming on YouTube or Tik Tok where people can see me. Audio only is definitely it's own ball game but this Spoon app is a great place to start.
I don't have very many fans or listens at the moment but it's just fun knowing I can use my voice only to create another type of content for people to listen to. This is a beginner friendly app and I have gotten some engagement on here from listeners which is really cool.
In my last spoon cast I did a You Tube video recording in the closet to show how easy it was to put out a Spoon podcast and explaining how it could be a great tool as a stepping stone to get into Podcasting. Spoon app can be used to show off your skills for a podcasting gig. You never know who might ask if they can hear you. This hands down is one of my favorite apps on my iPhone. I can have an idea and turn it into audio content within seconds and I've never got frustrated once trying to Spoon.
Start a podcast right from your phone!

Here is a video going through recording a Spoon podcast on my iPhone in the closet!

The Dollar Tree has really been coming through on these LA Colors nail polish! Every time I go to a new location they have more new colors. This week I picked up a LA Colors nail polish called "Watermelon" very beautiful deep dark berry pink color.

This was my first time getting this nail color most are duplicates so I buy the same colors over and over. It was nice to see a deeper shade of pink.
LA Colors nail polish "Watermelon" was such a pretty color on my pedicure I decided to throw in a quick manicure also
Definitely will be keeping the watermelon nail color from LA Colors for my nails and toes for this summer. Hope I can stock up on some new colors for the next post! Make sure to visit your local Dollar Tree and see if you can find any nail polish steals from LA Colors.

I’m always running around doing errands and trying to vlog at the same time. I saw there was a problem though, everything was always scattered everywhere. My camera would be in my jacket pocket, SD and battery in my pants pocket, and then my tripod would be too big to go in my purse so I would have to leave it at home. My old canon was on the way out so I said I was going to make the most compact affordable YouTube set up ever! It’s going to be so compact it will fit in a standard fanny pack! So here is the YouTube vlogger on the go fanny pack gear :

FANNY PACK

Of course you need a basic fanny pack. The more zippers and pockets the better. Got this one of eBay for I think $8.00 it was meant for the gym actually.

DIGITAL CAMERA

This is my old Canon Powershot Elph I used for vlogging before the sound went out. UPDATE: I wanted a camera I could see myself in so I got the Canon SX740 SX. It's a great deal to me for the quality of footage I get plus the fact that I can see myself makes it all worth it!  (Yes the new camera fits in the fanny pack as well)

MINI TRIPOD

This little tripod is the best thing ever! It’s a Manfrotto mini tripod. It’s so small and fits in your hand perfectly. I didn’t know if it was going to fit into the fanny pack or not so when I saw it fit my day was made! I haven't stopped recording since.

EXTRA BATTERIES

The extra batteries for me are a must! I use the record feature a lot so when my camera flashes red and tells me to change the battery I stop, change it, put the other one on charge and continue. For me I have (3) batteries for the Canon SX 740 SX that’s enough to keep me going for the entire day. The most I’ve ever had to change the battery is once in a day. (I do the same with the Canon Power Shot ELPH 340 HS and my DSLR Canon)

SD CARDS

All together I probably have about (29) SD Cards because I list online daily and do videos on multiple platforms. For the average person 2-4 SD Cards with between 8GB to 16GB should be well more than enough to get started. When I’m out I have one in my camera and one in the fanny pack. UPDATE: I have now moved up to 32-64GB because of more photography and more video but it’s not necessary starting out a 16GB SD Card is ideal though)

MINI RING LIGHT

This was a very inexpensive light and helps to be seen on camera when you are losing light. It’s meant to be clipped on a cell phone but it can be clipped anywhere. It gives off (3) strengths of light and it’s great at night time.

When it’s time to go out I make sure everything is charged and put on my fanny pack and I’m ready to record anywhere I go! This compact fanny pack set up can also be used for photography. You would probably need a mini bookbag to carry a bigger camera like a DSLR but you would still need everything I mentioned in the fanny pack You Tube set up.

See being a YouTuber, Instagrammer or Tik Toker is only a fanny pack away! Get some starter gear and start creating!

I don't work a traditional 9-5 but there are occasions where I have to be dressed business casual. For that reason I keep dress shoes and black slacks (even though I'm a tomboy) just in case I would need them for a function that called for business casual. This is a super simple look I pulled out of the closet I could wear at a casual business meeting or to go out to a nice restaurant. Hey maybe even on a date...

The hot weather is right around the corner so try to wear all your long sleeves before you put them away for the summer time.
I actually like how the open toe heel went with the black dress pants
Right in the middle.. Not too business and not too casual
Side Note: I tried to give this shirt away to Thred Up they sent it back lol Everything I'm wearing in this post was from my closet.

Shirt: J.Crew
